Bridge to the unknown

I painted a somewhat gloomy PNW scene right as we were make the transition to sunny spring! I really love taking forest walks in the rain: the sound of the rain on the leaves, the bright colors of soggy winter moss, the sound of birds bathing in the rain, etc. It was fun creating a painting with that vibe. Even though I love the sun, I always miss the moodiness of PNW forests in the winter.
